A surprise Es opening to Sweden during the very early hours of July 3rd, also producing some very short skip to Germany and even Denmark at only 836 km.
The opening to Sweden was very wide, with large parts of the country coming through. This made the identification of individual transmitters very difficult, so many "multi-tx" loggings resulted. Even Germany was present and I'm sure some of the stations were received via Es.
It was also impossible to know if some of the weak classical music stations were the Swedish P2 network or BBC Radio 3 as both had the same classical music programme.
The Swedish P1 programme were carrying an interesting news item which included a recording of MP Jeremy Hunt talking about how the UK taxpayer is paying for many aspects of immigration, including NHS treatment of our millions of immigrants. Something which I think was 'buried' in our own news programmes at the time as I don't recall anything about this. Oooops - getting slightly political now. It's just that I know local people who have serious illnesses and are being ignored and see immigrants being given preferential NHS treatment and that's not f***ing on when my wife has been diagnosed with a suspected brain tumour and is being totally ignored! Nothing against immigrants, or sensibly controlled immigration, only against our governments and their no-questions-asked open door policies - let's get these evil shats out at the next election.
